The house below has to be the most photographed house in Scotland. I've only been past 3-4 times but every time there has been cars parked on the roadside and people with cameras. It is also almost in the middle of nowhere on the Rannoch Moor/Glencoe mountain divide.
This is a sort of well known bridge in Glencoe at the end of Loch Etive. The road to get there is a single lane with stops on the side for cars to pass. It runs on the side of a valley with a small river at the very bottom. Lots of hikers camp in various places beside it (even though it's really cold) following the trail called the West Highland Way which seems to cover a large part of Scotland.
A bagpipe player in the middle of nowhere is not something you really expect to see. He is however often at this spot.
Mountains at Glencoe and Rannoch Moor.
The following photos are of Grey Mare's Tail Waterfall which is very close to the town of Glencoe.
The main part of the waterfall and a part of the path to both the main falls and the summit of the hill.
Near the top of the falls. Just above this little cascade is a small bridge where the path crosses the falls. There are lots of little cascades like this all the way up, but you can't always see them.
Glencoe and surrounds as seen from the summit of Grey Mare.
